Stretch Your Range of Motion

ROM or range-of-motion plays a vital part of your golf swing. For the backswing rotational flexibility of the torso allows the shoulder to turn araound the spine - creating coil to be released in the downswing like a spring. A lack of flexibility in any one of the prime movers - legs, hips, torso, shoulders, results in overuse of the arms and a loss of power.

Tight muscles and joints are usually the result of inactivity. At any age, you can improve your flexibility, just as you can improve your strength. With continued easy stretching and relaxed breathing "into the posture" so that oxygen is able to feed those working cells, you'll gradually stretch your muscle-tendon units so that you can reach or turn farther with no tension. Dedication brings improvement.
